Thank you for visiting our site! Branham Family Farms focuses on producing
quality commercial meat goats in Southeastern Indiana.
Our philosophy is that our animals work for us; they
need to be able to perform well on pasture with minimal time spent. Our goal is to produce commercial animals
that grow quickly on low grain inputs, have high worm resistance,
don’t require frequent hoof trimming and are prolific. It is difficult to make a profit selling
meat animals if the herd isn’t tough, so we are breeding for
self-sufficient does that consistently are able to wean large, healthy kids
with minimal management inputs
We always will have animals available for meat - please contact us and we
will do our best to meet your meat needs!
Goat meat (also known as chevon or cabrito) is a very lean red meat.
We can also offer starter herds for those interested in getting into the goat
business themselves. It is a
rewarding hobby that can be profitable with the right type of animals and
we strive to produce to meet those needs.
